The APSE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2020 to receive tax-exempt gifts to carry out educational projects for the advancement of sports journalism.
The APSE Foundation supports the APSE Foundation Fellowship, an annual program to support, train and further the careers of sports editors. That program was established in 2011 by the Associated Press Sports Editors (commonly known as APSE), the nation’s premier professional association for sports editors and others in journalism sports management. APSE was founded in 1974 to promote excellence within the sports-media industry.
